I'm very excited to announce that WiFi Explorer Pro 1.0 is now available for download. WiFi Explorer Pro takes the code base of WiFi Explorer and adds a set of features that makes it the right tool for WLAN and IT professionals. You can use WiFi Explorer Pro for preliminary assessments, to help design and validate wireless networks installations, as well as to identify channel conflicts, overlapping, poor signal quality and other issues that may be affecting the connectivity or performance of your home, office or enterprise wireless network.
Here's are some of the features WiFi Explorer Pro offers:
- Passive and directed scan modes
- Spectrum analysis integration
- Custom filters
- Support for remote sensors
- Support for networks with hidden SSIDs
- Additional columns with advanced information
- Additional organization options for scan results
- Dark and light themes
WiFi Explorer Pro costs $79.99 (Single License, 3 Activations) and it's a completely separate app (not a paid upgrade of WiFi Explorer). It requires OS X 10.10 or later and also offers a 3-day trial.
If you know me, you'd know there are still features that I'd like to include, as well as improvements to be made, however, I hope this first version of WiFi Explorer Pro meets your needs and the expectations of the Wi-Fi community in general.
I'd like to thank everybody for their support, especially a select group of Wi-Fi professionals that have provided guidance and valuable feedback. I've really enjoyed developing the tool and learning more about Wi-Fi along the way.
